CNH Industrial Parts & Service, the function ensuring global parts, technical service and service excellence within CNH Industrial. New Holland Agriculture present the new category 4 cab (DIN EN 15695-1 / 2018) that now ca be fitted in some New Holland tractors ensuring complete cabin sealing against dangerous particles like pesticides.
Thanks to this new equipment, each tractor fitted with this kit will be Category 4 certified. All tests have been certified and approved by New Holland Engineering through very specific and demanding tests.
New kit will ensure a perfect seal and will very effectively and it will protect effectively the operator during spraying work in particular. In order to guarantee maximum operator safety, a pressure gauge mounted in the cabin will indicate visually (green and red zone) the pressure in accordance with the required recommendations.
Green : Ready to start the work
Red : Wait to reach the right Pressure in accordance with the Required Recommendations to work in safe conditions.
2 Category 4 filters will ensure a very an high capture (approximately 98%) of external microscopic particles, 15 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair!
The assembly is quick and easy. Your New Holland dealer will give you all the details regarding the type of vehicles that can be this product will be available.

Intake
Fresh air is drawn through 2 air intakes located in the Cab roof on the left and right
Filtration
Passes through the 2 Filtration Units, under the floor To the fan and AC
Clean air distribution
Goes through the Cab Filter (re-circulation). Once filtered and purified, air passes through the A / C unit to the steering column air vents. The air volume can be individually controlled via buses.
Pressure control
A Pressure indicator (manometer) is used as the cabin pressure indicator.
If the cabin pressure does not meet the required recommendations, the driver is informed via the pressure gauge which will then be in the red zone.

Below you will find the instructions for a proper and safe use of the Cab4 filter equipment that has to be fully respected by the users.
Failure to comply with such instructions may result in severe consequences.
All the doors and windows of the vehicle must be carefully closed.
Windows and doors seals must be in perfect condition as they protect the interior from external factors. If they are porous or have poor adhesion, exterior pollutants will then be able to enter the passenger compartment.
The rubber flap used to route the tool cable must be perfectly positioned and in excellent condition (no cracks or snags).
All plugs and accessories must be in place to prevent cabin air leaks.
Air conditioning in perfect working order.
The ventilation must be activated at least in 3rd speed to ensure that the air flow is sufficiently high and the re-circulation damper in the closed position.
The pressure gauge must be in the green zone to indicate that the over pressure is reached.
Green: Ok to start the work
Red: Wait to reach the right Pressure in accordance with the Required Recommendations to work in safe conditions.
The original filters must be replaced by a CAT 4 carbon filter.
The filter must be changed: Every 150 hours.
It is necessary to remove the filter after each use using special gloves and to take all necessary precautions not to damage the assembly during disassembly.
Allow the filter to air dry and place it back in an airtight bag after use.
A filter cannot be cleaned (water / blower) at the risk of seriously damaging the filter media and allowing toxic particles to pass.
Optimal protection starts with a perfect working environment!
The operator must put on a clean coveralls, gloves and shoes, get the hands cleaned.
Do not pollute the interior of the cabin by storing soiled objects (gloves, overalls, cans, pesticides, etc.).
Rince the sprayer after usage and clean the rail Filters.
Do not get out of the vehicle during spraying work, but if it is necessary to leave the vehicle, it is necessary to wait until the sprayed product has settled on the ground.
Always use personal protective equipment to handle phytosanitary products and the material in contact with them.
