PLI AND CNHI ANNOUNCE UN-CERTIFIED BAG IN BOX FOR AGRICULTURAL LUBRICANTS

Multi-traction NH Ambra Bag In Box serve the agricultural sector with a product that involves fewer carbon emissions, less waste, and includes recycled materials. The new additions to PLI’s Bag In Box (BIB) family of smart, environmentally friendly packaging mark a new milestone in the company’s sustainability and circularity journey.

Developed in close partnership with CNHi, there is now 1 BIB solutions for the agricultural sector that will become available in Q2 2024. Multi-traction NH Ambra Bag In Box can pride itself on various sustainability credentials, including reducing up to 92% of plastics, using 100% recyclable cardboard box and up to 85% less material when compared to traditional plastic bottles.

The sustainable packaging is made up of two complementary components: a cardboard exterior, and soft plastic interior bag Cheertainer ® formulated for viscose products, which enables both product and packaging to work together securely and seamlessly. The inner bag has superior tensile, puncture, elongation, and heat seal strength compared to other sealant films. The bag’s integrated, ergonomic tap provides a strong aromatic barrier, as well as a clean pour, free from spillage and glugging, allowing for maximum product usage.

This new product, which brings together the shared values of the PLI and CNH brands, was unveiled at Agritechnica 2023. Innovation, sustainability, circularity and driving efficiency are highly valued by both brands, and there is a strong desire to support the agricultural sector in its efforts to improve value and provide environmentally friendly solution for agricultural machinery and fluid technology.

Giuseppe Pedretti, regional managing director EMEA for Petronas Lubricants International (pli), says:

“At PLI we are on a journey to redefine innovation, engineering lubricants today for the drivers of tomorrow. Agricultural vehicles are as important in this journey as cars, trucks, and motorbikes. Hence, we are proud to work jointly with CNHi on high quality products for this industry and help them with solutions that reduce energy consumption and improve efficiencies and minimize waste. Being able to now offer these products in an ecological pack and increase user convenience, speaks to our aim to put customers and the planet first.”
